Delivery and Flight Nanny Information

At Family Affair Standards, we’ve had nothing but success stories concerning shipping our puppies. Even in cases of delays, rerouting etc., our babies have arrived fed, watered and for the most part clean and happy.

At Family Affair Standards, we’ve had nothing but success stories with Delivering and Flight Nannying our puppies.

We offer several options to get your puppy to you if are unable to come to our property and pick up.
First note, that we have great lots of experience matching you with the perfect via videos, live FaceTime/Zoom calls and reviewing Temperament Tests results to ensure so.

We offer Ground Delivery, a Flight Nanny Service and occasionally National and International Air Cargo Shipping.

Below we will briefly go over each way of transportation offered. We can talk much further in detail when the time comes for you to decide which is best for you.

We provide a very convenient personalized ground delivery service. Our puppies can generally be delivered anywhere within a 500-mile radius from our location. We estimate the trip costs based on time and the rate is $50.00 per hour, each way. Delivery is offered Monday through Friday. *Note: Deliveries going north of Washington DC, there is an additional $50 charge each way.

However, we can go much further if the opportunity arises and we meet people halfway regularly. Our puppies have been hand delivered as far North as Buffalo, NY., as far South as Miami, FL., as far West as Wyoming and as far South West as Dallas, TX. We can deliver anywhere in the US if we have enough puppies going in that general direction. We get to meet some of the most amazing people and the new owners of our Standard Poodle, adults and puppies. If you are interested in us delivering your new Family Affair Standard Poodle puppy to your town or meeting you half way, please let us know.

We also offer a “Flight Nanny” service. Where we will fly to you with the puppy in cabin. The puppy does have to be 8 weeks old but no older than 12 weeks and be able to fit in a soft sided pet carrier under the seat. The pricing for this service will vary based on airfare pricing. These flights take place Monday through Friday.

THE PRICE BREAK DOWN IS AS FOLLOWS:

1. COST OF THE ROUND TRIP AIR FARE (PRICE VARIES)
2. AIRLINE IN CABIN PET FEE: $125
3. HEALTH CERTIFICATE: $50
4. FLIGHT NANNY FEE: SEE MAP BELOW FOR THAT FEE BASED ON YOUR LOCATION

**Note: Flight Nanny fees to Alaska and Puerta Rico require an overnight hotel stay as well.

These charges range depending on the airline, destination, and the age and size of your puppy. Shipping charges to Canada and other Countries are significantly higher than the normal national charges.  They are determined on a case-by-case basis. These charges include airfare, travel crate, vet check, health certificate, and trip charge. We provide you with a large crate that you will be able to use for several months to come for you to house and help potty train your new puppy.

All flights originate from Raleigh/Durham International Airport (RDU). Some International Flights may have to depart via Dulles in Washington, D.C. or from Charlotte, N.C. There are strict temperature restrictions for the duration of the flight of 40-degrees and below in the winter and in the summer temperature restrictions begin at 80-degrees. The same temperature limitations apply to any stop in the puppy’s itinerary, including layovers and the destination. These temperature limits are designed for the safety and comfort of the puppy while on the tarmac. Because of these restrictions shipping cargo shipping usually is available in the Spring and Fall. We us American Airlines and Alaskan Airlines with whom we have had great success.
